Alessandro Soccorsi was born in L’Aquila in 1982 and started to play the piano at the age of ten years old. He graduated from the Conservatory “A.Casella” in L’Aquila in 2003 then continued his studies in the “Arts academy” in Rome with the pianist Konstantin Bogino. He moved to Holland in 2008 where he studied for his master diploma at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague with the pianist Naum Grubert.
Alessandro has performed as soloist and also with ensembles in many festivals and music events, like “Pietre che cantano 2008” in L’aquila, the radio live “Koffieconcert” for Radio West at the Anton Philipszaal in The Hague and in the “Italian culture institute” in Amsterdam. Upcoming and recent activities include concerts for “XVIII TEMPORADA Musical de la UdL”in Lleida, the concert season in “Nakas Conservatory” in Athens, the “ Muziekzomer Festival 2011 and 2012” performing as soloist, piano duo, voice and piano and ensembles, and in the Liszt Festival at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague where he played the 2nd Liszt Piano Concerto. In 2012, he performed with the ASKO Ensemble in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam for the Concert season “Zaterdag Matinee”. In 2013 he performed as soloist with the Brabant Orkest in the Muziekgebouw in Eindhoven. He lately participated for several concerts seasons in L’Aquila, like “Società Concerti Barattelli”, “L’Officina musicale” and “Associazione Amiternum”, performing in piano trio, duo with violin and flute, piano quartet.
He has collaborated as accompanist with musicians like Angelo Persichilli in the “Festival delle Nazioni ” in Città di Castello, Andrea Oliva in the “one-year flute course” in Bracciano, William Bennett in Amsterdam and Sergio Azzolini in a masterclass in the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and Rien de Reede in L’Aquila. Other recent collaborations include: accompanist for the strings, winds and percussion Department in the Conservatory “A.Casella” in L’Aquila for 2011 and 2012, the Opera2day and Royal conservatory in The Hague. Since 2012 Alessandro has worked with the youth orchestra EUYO and NJO auditions in Holland.
