Violista eclettica e carismatica, Aida-Carmen Soanea ha vinto il primo premio al Concorso Bucchi di Roma nel 2005. Aveva già ottenuti dei riconoscimenti a Mosca nel 2000 vincendo il secondo premio del Concorso Bashmet e al Premio Eduard Soerening era stata premiata dalla Fondazione di Amburgo “Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben”, considerandola uno dei più formidabili talenti della sua generazione. Grazie a successivi riconoscimenti, la Soanea, come solista e per la musica da camera, ha ottenuto di poter suonare, per dieci anni, una straordinaria viola costruita da Mario del Bussetto nel XVII secolo. Come solista la Soanea si è esibita in questi festival internazionali: Osterfestspiele di Lucerna, Rheingau Musikfestival, Musikfestspiele Sanssouci, Musikfestival Mecklenburg Vorpommern, Mostly Mozart Mexico. Si è esibita in molti Ensemble come la Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, Berliner Symphoniker, English Youth Orchestra, Filarmonica Moldava Iasi, Capella Istropolitana. Ha suonato con altri solisti come Tabea Zimmermann (alla Cité de la Musique di Parigi), con Renaud Capucon allo Spring Festival di Lucerna, con Tanja Becker-Bender facendo il suo debutto presso la Sala Grande della Berlin Philharmony nel 2009, e con Tasmin Little portando in torrnée per l’Inghilterra la “Concertante” di Mozart.

An eclectic and charismatic violist, is born in Romania into a family of opera singers. She won the 1st Prize of the Valentino Bucchi Competition in Roma - 2005 and the 2nd Prize at the Bashmet Viola Competition in Moscow - 2000. She had previously won the 1st Prize with distinction at the age of 17 in the German national competition Jugend Musiziert and had been then admitted in the class of Barbara Westphal, at the Lübeck Musikhochschule.
he has also been graduated with distinction at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule (Berlin) in the class of Kim Kashkashian and at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris with Gérard Caussé. She has been influenced and received big musical inputs from Juri Bashmet during several masterclasses at the Accademia Chigiana di Siena, from Ivan Fischer who invited her on the position of solo viola of the Budapest Festival Orchestra (2004 to 2008) and especially from Claudio Abbado, whom she encountered regularly as a member of Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and later, in the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and in the Berlin Philharmony. As a soloist, Aida-Carmen has appeared in the marvellous Ateneul Roman of Bucharest as well as in music festivals such as the Internationale Osterfestspiele Luzern, Rheingau Musikfestival, Musikfestspiele Sanssouci, Musikfestival Mecklenburg Vorpommern and she performed with different ensemble formations, including the Berliner Symphoniker, Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the European Chamber Orchestra Filarmonica Moldova Iasi, Filarmonica de Stat Sibiu, Capella Istropolitana, Mecklenburger Kammersolisten…
