HISTORICAL NOTES ABOUT THE CITY
With its approximately 109,000 inhabitants, Terni is the romantic city par excellence.
In fact, also called the "City of Lovers", its patron saint is precisely St. Valentine, which is celebrated on February 14 and to which a basilica has been dedicated, in which the body of the saint is now preserved.
In the historic center of Terni it is possible to appreciate various monuments and buildings that can be visited today such as, for example, the Church of San Francesco and the Duomo.
Thanks to its position it is also an interesting starting point for trips and excursions in the neighboring areas, including the Marmore Falls and the Carsulae Archaeological Park.
Furthermore, Narni, Orvieto, Spoleto and Sangemini are just some examples of beautiful medieval villages, which are located a short distance from Terni and which can be pleasantly visited during your stay.
