From 17 to 24 August 2016 will be M° Giuliano Sommerhalder the teacher of the Masterclass of Trumpet in the area of the 6th International Masterclasses Narni 2016. A wonderful oppotunity for all those who want to undertake a specialization course for this musical instrument!

The M° Sommerhalder has a long career as orchestra player as soloist, performing in the most important European music centers, US and Asian and collaborating with many masters such as Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Lorin Maazel and David Zinman. The M° Zinman appointed him as First Trumpet at the Orquestra of the Palau de les Arts "Reina Sofia" in Valencia in 2005. Since 2006 he has held the same role at the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and the 2011/2012 season is First Trumpet at the 'Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam under the direction of Mariss Jansons. In 2014 he held his African debut in Durban, South Africa, performing Henri Tomasi's Trumpet Concerto whit the KwaZulu Natal Philharmonic, as well as his Asian debut performing two Concertos by Amilcare Ponchielli in Hong Kong.

In September 2016 he will be the first trumpet at Rotterdam Philharmonic.
