This course is addressed to any musician who is aiming to develop his skills in conducting an ensemble, accompanying a soloist, and who is interested in learning the principles of concertation as well as tips for rehearsing. Six days of lessons, playing and conducting will be the core of this course.
Alessandro Viale is an extremely versatile musician.
Alessandro has been the principal conductor of many orchestras, among which Archi Accademia Nova and Rest Ensemble, which also conducted in radio and television recordings. His wide and comprehensive repertoire, from baroque to contemporary music, is presented with philological insight and attention to the historical performance practices. He has collaborated with such renowned musicians as Vadim Brodski, Ofer Falk, Romain Garioud, Roberto Gonzalez and Giuliano Sommerhalder. He has also performed, in theatre and on television, with actors such as Roberto Herlitzka and Francesco Siciliano.
Appreciated composer, his “Songs of simple desires” for voice and cello has been recently premiered in Estonia. He is the author of the soundtrack to the film “Cam Girl” directed by Mirca Viola.
He recently participated in the Nuova Consonanza Festival, in the Pontino Festival, in the Filarmonica Romana recital series “Assoli”, and with many ensembles including the Imago Sonora Ensemble, the Rest Ensemble and the Ardorè Duo. He has premiered more than thirty pieces written by young composers from many countries. In September 2015 Alessandro recorded "Steps Volume 5: Sixteen Scenes before a Crucifixion", composed by Peter Seabourne, for the label Sheva Collection.
